Mrs Davies

Teaching Assistant / Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

We are keen to promote Home Reading. The following links will take you to some excellent websites...
We have merged our Open Classroom and Learning Together times.
The session will take place on Wednesday afternoons from 2.45 starting with a 20 minute focus on maths skills followed by the opportunity for parents/carers to browse through their children's workbooks.
Whilst this is not an appropriate time to discuss progress with the teacher, separate appointments can be made should you have any concerns or questions.
Our first topic this term is Healthy Living.
Linked to our literacy learning, we will be thinking about which types of food to eat to keep us healthy. We will be working hard on our phonics and spellings and focusing on the use of capital letters and full stops when we write our own version of the story 'The Enormous Turnip'.
In Maths, we are focusing on reading and writing numbers up to 100, learning how to order and partition numbers and will be busy working on our Maths Passports (see link below). We have also been introduced to adding and subtracting single digits to and from 2 digit numbers.
We are also looking forward to Science lessons when we will be sorting food into groups by type, creating healthy snacks and learning about the importance of exercise and hygiene. The latter will help us with our homework projects for this term - we are busy ???? which we will present to the rest of the class!
