AUTUMN TERM 2019
Puffins are having a busy first term; settling into their new routines, taking part in lots of fun learning and making new friends each day.
The children have really enjoyed retelling traditional nursery rhymes using lots of props and story maps. They created their own imaginative stories using items from our story corners. We have being finding out all about Autumn - exploring pumpkins at Halloween, harvest vegetables, making shape pictures and talking about rockets.
In literacy, Puffins are learning new phonemes, sound talking, tricky words and playing phonic games. In numeracy, we are recognising numbers 0-10 and 10-20, ordering numbers 0-10 and counting objects carefully from a group and in a line using resources such as numicon, dice, bead strings and number fans.
We have an open classroom at the end of each school day for Puffin parents/carers. Please feel free to come in and chat to us, change books with your child or have a look around - we are never too busy!
