SPRING TERM 2020
Puffins are having a very busy term!
We have been keeping ourselves fit in the company of Owain, one of the teachers from the big school. He has been coming in once a week to teach us about the importance of exercise and the effect it has on our bodies as we grow.
We also really enjoyed learning all about Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated. We created our own Chinese dragon and danced through the school, decorated a beautiful blossom tree, learned some Chinese writing and even made our own vegetable stir fry!
In literacy, we are enjoying Julia Donaldson's 'The Princess And The Wizard' and made wands to conjure up magic spells, lotions and potions!
In numeracy, we are continuing to recognise numbers between 0-10 and 10-20, ordering numbers 0-10 and counting objects carefully from a group and in a line using resources such as numicon, dice, bead strings and number fans.
We have an open classroom at the end of each school day for Puffin parents/carers. Please feel free to come in and chat to us, change books with your child or have a look around - we are never too busy!
