Swimming Lessons

Swimming and water safety is a statutory part of the National Curriculum, with the aim that by the age of 11 (the end of key stage 2), all pupils should be able to swim 25 metres. We are so lucky to live by the sea and helping our children to feel confident in and on the water from an early age forms an integral part of our PE curriculum.

Our children participate in lessons for twelve weeks each year at St Ives Leisure Centre which is literally a stone's throw from the school playing field.

We ask for a small fee of £1 per week towards the cost of tuition but this is a voluntary payment and no child will be excluded from these invaluable lessons.
