E-Safety

In these days of internet connectivity and social media it is important that we take steps to educate our children so they know how to protect themselves whilst they are online.  We can also take steps ourselves as adults to limit the access they have to inappropriate sites or age limited games.

Each term children will learn about e-safety in their computing lessons in school. Parents are also encouraged to support this learning and supervising their child's online presence at home.

Vodafone have a free online safety tool created for families. The Digital Family Pledge aims to aid parent and child awareness of what they are exposed to online and helps us think about setting good digital habits.

The Pledge covers four important topics: screen time, online bullying, social media, and gaming – and using a series of quiz like questions prompts families to discuss and agree some rules on how to use tech and act online. The information is tailored for children 5-13 years.

Please click on the link below and discuss with your family at home. It only takes about 15 minutes to complete together and is best accessed on a tablet or mobile device.
